SECP and KSE consider allowing intraday short-selling – Alfalah Securities Limited

Karachi, November 14, 2012 (PPI-OT): Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) is considering on the proposal to allow intraday short-selling in order to improve stock market’s trading volume.

According to Alfalah Securities Limited, in this regard, KSE will have to make some changes in its IT systems to allow intraday short-selling which is also in the consideration. The decision would have a positive impact on the stock market by increasing the market activity on the bourses.
