Islamabad, December 29, 2015 (PPI-OT): Ambassador of Portugal in Pakistan H.E. Jaao Paulo Sabido Costa called on Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CA and DD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry here in Islamabad at his office on Tuesday.
While talking to the Portuguese envoy the Minister of State said that Pakistan and Portugal enjoy a history of cordial and friendly relationship and Pakistan attaches great importance to its friendly relations with Portugal.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan is moving in positive direction. Law and order situation in the country has improved to a great deal during last two and half year and a lot of foreign investment is coming into Pakistan from all around the world, the Minister continued.
Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Pakistan and Portugal can enhance cooperation in various areas including economy, education, health care and culture exchange. He informed the visiting ambassador that his Ministry looks after Healthcare, Education and Development affairs of the Islamabad Capital City and said that we will welcome Portugal’s cooperation in these sectors. We can learn and benefit from each others’ experiences and expertise, the Minister added.
The two sides also discuss the visa policy and cultural exchange programs. Portugal Ambassador said that the two countries need to move forward together and further strengthen existing ties. He appreciated the ample investment friendly opportunities offered by Pakistan.
