Lahore, March 18, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while condemning the barbaric act of terrorism in Christchurch, has said that Pakistani nation in general and business community in particular stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of New Zealand.
In a statement on Saturday, the LCCI President Almas Hyder, Senior Vice President Khawaja Shahzad Nasir and Vice President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal said that massacre of innocent people in New Zealand by the terrorists is not a heinous crime against the Muslims but against the humanity. They said that our prayers and hearts go out to our brothers in New Zealand at this testing time. They said that leaders across the world should join heads and evolve strategy to fight common battle against terrorism.
They said that the terrorist attacks in New Zealand are a well-planned conspiracy to shatter the global peace. They said that United Nations and Organization of Islamic Countries should convene roundtables of all heads of states to make a consensus policy to cope with terrorism related incidents that have jolted the very basis of the globe. They said that these terrorists should be brought to justice. “Any further delay in taking a strong stand against terrorists would cause undue damage to the internal peace and harmony therefore there is a dire need to sit together and evolve a methodology to get rid of the menace of terrorism”, the LCCI office-bearers said.
