He said that the total Rs. 25/kg, Rs. 290 in domestic and Rs. 1140 in commercial cylinder hike in LPG price is due to intimidation of Government LPG Sui Southern Gas Company. New rise in LPG price of Rs. 5/kg, Rs. 60 in domestic and Rs. 240 in commercial cylinder with effect from today without any notification or permission from OGRA.
SSGC have black listed Ayan Energy, 2nd biggest LPG importer of 2016 which imported 105815MT in 2016 to maintain supply chain of LPG in Pakistan. Import have played a keen role in filling demand and supply gap and now due to foul activities of SSGC, import have stopped which led to increase in LPG prices. Irfan Khokhar said, SSGC have been successful in defaming the Government by decreasing import hence poor people of Pakistan are suffering from shortage of this economic substitute of petrol and diesel. If import stops for a few more days then only SSGC will be responsible for the LPG crisis in Pakistan. Prices will continue to increase if SSGC do not stop its profane activities.
