Pakistani SMEs need linkage with Chinese SMEs

Karachi, December 12, 2017 (PPI-OT):The Union of Small and medium Enterprises (UNISAME) felicitated the Dawn group, the Ministry of Planning and Development and the Sindh Board of Investment for organizing the CPEC Business Opportunities Conference at a local hotel and appreciated the progress of the Chinese team and their support.

President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver, vice president Mir Salman, Hashmat Ali, Ali Sabih accompanied by Muesh Kumar, provincial chief the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and manager Feroze Ahmed met the federal secretary ministry of planning, development and reform (MoPD and R) Shoaib Siddiqui and urged him to developed linkage with the SMEs of China and connect the SMEs of Pakistan for joint ventures, collaboration and transfer of technology. The Pakistani SMEs need to be connected with the Chinese SMEs and need to set up units in Pakistan for manufacturing goods for export to China and other global destinations.

The federal secretary MoPD and R agreed to work on the suggestion and asked SMEDA and UNISAME team to send a proposal for carrying out the spade work immediately and to make it happen. Thaver said the CEPEC conference has helped the SMEs to understand the benefits of CEPEC and removed the disinformation on the subject.

The Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) officer Khush Muhammad Junejo present at the SEDF stall welcomed the UNISAME delegation at the stall and explained the salient features of the fund and the bright opportunities under CEPEC and the SEDF.
