The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians, which led to the martyrdom of more than 52 and the injuries to about 2,000 people during peaceful protests.
In a statement, the Secretary General of the Organization, Dr Yousef Al-Othaimeen held Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for the these crimes.
He called upon the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to intervene to put an immediate end to this aggression.
The OIC Secretary General also stressed the need for the international community to play its role towards finding a political solution to the Palestine issue in accordance with international law, resolutions of world bodies and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Meanwhile, the Middle East countries as well as UK and EU have condemned Israel’s violence against Palestinian protests.
The South African government, while condemning the violence in the strongest possible terms, has recalled its ambassador to Israel.
