UN: Ceasefire agreed to end fighting in Libya’s Tripoli

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya says rival militias in the capital agreed to end all hostilities.

The announcement came after Libyan authorities said that the death toll from the violence had risen to sixty one.

Under the auspices of United Nations a ceasefire agreement was reached today to end all hostilities, protect civilians, safeguard public and private property and reopen Mitiga airport in Tripoli.
