University of Sarajevo delegation discuss ways to enhance cooperation with ISESCO

Rabat A delegation from the University of Sarajevo visited Wednesday the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) headquarters in Rabat, the Kingdom of Morocco.

The delegation comprised Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies Prof. Dr. Zuhdija Hasanovic and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alibasic, accompanied by Abdelrahim el-Betioui, advisor at the Office of Moroccan Secretary of State responsible for higher education and scientific research.

During the visit, members of the delegation held a working session with Director of External Relations and Cooperation Dr. Ahmed Said Ould Bah, General Secretariat Supervisor of the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) Dr. Abdul Elah Ben Arafa and Program Specialist at the Directorate of Education Dr. Yosuf Abu Daqqa. They discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between ISESCO, FUIW and the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of Sarajevo in areas of common interest.

The University of Sarajevo is the largest and oldest university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was originally established in 1531 as an Ottoman Islamic law college. Today, with 30 faculties and institutes, it ranks among the largest universities in the Balkans in terms of enrollment. The University has become a member of FUIW since 2000.
